Promote Peterborough & the Kawarthas to Key Audiences (1/3) is now

On April 28th, at PKED’s Annual General Meeting, the new was unveiled.

The economic development website for the region, which used to be was transitioned to a newly redesigned and reorganized investor-focussed website to address changes in economic development and intended to more effectively showcase the advantages of Peterborough & the Kawarthas to attract new businesses and investment opportunities to the region. The new site also offers improved resources for local companies.

New & Improved

On May 18th, ahead of the Victoria Day long weekend, PKED launched a beta version of the new and improved which was redeveloped to address new travel planning trends. Improvements to the site include:

  • An improved virtual Visitor Centre
  • Reimagined Insiders Notebook travel blog
  • Addition of experiential travel experiences hub
  • Improved calendar of events
  • Integrated mapping of business directory
  • Simplified process for local businesses listings

PKED developed a new Programs & Services Guide which provides board members, stakeholders, municipal partners, local businesses, and residents with a comprehensive overview of economic development activities in the region. The guide provides details about PKED’s programs and services, as well as a business ecosystem catalog of all of the local partners involved in economic development to ensure businesses and investors know where to go for support.
