Change is in the air, and it’s not just the arrival of spring! This Earth Day, Thursday, April 22, 3 – 4:30pm, join us in celebrating the launch of a new network and resource for businesses in the Greater Peterborough Area, Green Economy Peterborough.

Green Economy Peterborough is a hub of forward-thinking, local organizations that are setting and achieving workplace sustainability goals that improve our businesses, community, and environment.

Our virtual festivities will include:

  • Special guest speaker, Bob Willard, of Sustainability Advantage. Bob is a leading expert and author on the business case for organizational sustainability.
  • Local business leaders speaking on the connection between sustainability and a thriving, local business community.
  • An opportunity to connect with business peers committed to building their competitive advantage through climate action.
  • Learning how Green Economy Peterborough will accelerate the greater Peterborough area’s transition to a green economy.

Green Economy Peterborough is hosted by GreenUP, an award-winning nonprofit leader that has delivered sustainability education and services to the greater Peterborough area for over 25 years.

Green Economy Peterborough works with an Advisory Committee made up of local business and community leaders, including Peterborough and the Kawarthas Economic Development, the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce, the Peterborough DBIA, and many others.
