[PETERBOROUGH, ON]: Peterborough & the Kawarthas Economic Development (PKED) has launched a new digital Business Recovery Centre Portal for businesses in Peterborough & the Kawarthas in support of COVID-19 Economic Recovery efforts.

“This portal will serve as the region’s go-to hub for resources and information to help local business mitigate the impacts of COVID-19,” said Rhonda Keenan, President & CEO of PKED. “We all have an important role to play, and the health of the local economy relies on all of us coming together towards a meaningful and measured approach to recovery.”

Together with local partners at the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce, Peterborough DBIA, Community Futures Peterborough and the Innovation Cluster – Peterborough & the Kawarthas, and more importantly through hundreds of businesses responses received through direct calls and surveys, an Economic Recovery Plan for the region has been created and supported by both City of Peterborough and County of Peterborough Councils. The plan is outlined on the Business Recovery Centre Portal and will be updated regularly through the Mayor and Warden’s Economic Recovery Task Force.

The portal also provides resources and information for local businesses including:
• Financial Resources
• Health & Safety Guidance and Health & Hygiene Resources for Business
• Webinars & Online Training Opportunities
• A Business Collaboration Portal
• Resources for a wide variety of industries and sectors
• A list of local PPE Suppliers
• Pandemic Preparedness Resources
