Peterborough & the Kawarthas Economic Development operates under a Memorandum of Understanding with the City and County of Peterborough which identifies the core economic activities undertaken by the organization. PKED’s Board of Directors is responsible and accountable to the Councils of the City and County of Peterborough, through the Peterborough Regional Liaison Committee, and is required to report annually by way of a draft budget and business plan and annual audit and quarterly by way of reports which demonstrate the progress of PKED’s strategic plan.
