Show your support for local entrepreneurs in Peterborough & the Kawarthas!

Join us as we celebrate and recognize the grant recipients of the 2023 Starter Company Plus program and the 2022/2023 “Spark” Mentorships and Grants program finalists. Both programs are administered by Peterborough & the Kawarthas Economic Development (PKED).

Attendees will have an opportunity to meet with the entrepreneurs who are starting and growing their businesses in Peterborough & the Kawarthas, through the support of PKED programming.

Event Agenda:

4:00 pm: Doors open, and the event begins. The event will be catered with appetizers and light snacks from local producers from the Peterborough & the Kawarthas region. There will be a bar where soft drinks and alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase.

4:15 pm: Dignitary greetings and opening remarks

4:30 pm: Program announcements

4:45 pm: Group photos and ribbon cutting

5:00 pm: Networking

6:00 pm: Event concludes

About Starter Company Plus:

The Starter Company Plus program is funded by the Government of Ontario and delivered by the Peterborough & the Kawarthas Business Advisory Centre. This program is designed to provide business training for entrepreneurs (from aspiring to experienced), aged 18 and over in the City and County of Peterborough who are launching a business or expanding an existing business (that has been operating for five years or less).

About the “Spark” Program:

The “Spark” Mentorships & Grants Program is a collaborative partnership initiative between the Tourism Innovation Lab and Peterborough & the Kawarthas Tourism, with funding support from the Federal Economic Development Agency of Southern Ontario.

The program aims to support new tourism ideas, experiences, and partnerships that will enhance current offerings, address challenges, motivate travel and longer stays, and increase year-round visits in the region.
