This beginner-level workshop will cover the fundamentals of TikTok and how you can use it to build a following for your small business.

- The key differences between a personal account and a business account, plus how to set up a business account for success and optimize your profile
- How to discover popular content (including memes and trends) that you can leverage for your own posts
- Ideas for creating captivating videos for your small business (with lots of examples)
- Top strategies for landing on the For You page
- How to use hashtags to boost your discoverability
Afterwards, you’ll be able to:
- Analyze TikTok’s algorithm and content preferences, enabling them to tailor their posts for maximum visibility and engagement
- Incorporate music, sound effects, and visual effects creatively into their videos
- Employ data-driven insights from TikTok’s analytics to refine their content strategy, optimize posting times, and enhance overall performance

Event Location Directions:
This event will take place in the Everest boardroom at VentureNorth. To get to the boardroom, proceed to the elevator in the main lobby and press “G” for Ground Level. There will be signs displayed to locate the boardroom once reaching the Ground Level.
Parking:
Parking is not permitted in the VentureNorth parking lot, as it permitted parking for building tenants. There is on-street parking along Water St. and George St., as well as parking in the King St. Parkade parking garage (a 2-minute walk from the VentureNorth building).
