Our region is an excellent choice for outdoor adventure competition including road cycling, mountain biking, and gravel cycling as well as fantastic paddling opportunities.

Growth in sports on the land and water

There has been exponential growth, support and provincial success for rugby, lawn bowling, long distance and trail running, cyclo-cross, and cross-country skiing.

Our region is a well-known rowing destination, largely in part to Trent University’s reputation for cultivating incredible rowing talent and inviting other rowing athletes here each year for the annual Head of the Trent rowing regatta (the largest single day event of its kind in North America).
