Peterborough & the Kawarthas Visitor Centre: The Source for On-The-Go Information This Summer

PETERBOROUGH & THE KAWARTHAS TOURISM ANNOUNCES VISITOR CENTRE HOURS AND MOBILE LOCATIONS FOR THE 2019 SUMMER SEASON

[PETERBOROUGH, ON]: Visitors and locals alike are being welcomed to connect with the region’s destination marketing organization, Peterborough & the Kawarthas Tourism as they plan their summer activities and adventures.
This week, the Peterborough & the Kawarthas Visitor Centre located in Downtown Peterborough at 270 George Street North (Suite 101) will be open for their extended summer hours. The Visitor Centre will be open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, and on weekends from 10am to 4pm. This year, the Visitor Centre will also be open on Canada Day and the Civic Holiday in August (from 10am – 4pm).

The Visitor Centre provides a wide selection of free information including travel guides, brochures, roadmaps and trail guides. From the Downtown Visitor Centre, trained travel counsellors are available to assist visitors to the area in person, over-the-phone, as well as online with “Live Chat” function on thekawarthas.ca.

Again this year, Peterborough & the Kawarthas Tourism will offer the Mobile Visitor Services program with over 30 locations including Indian River Reptile Zoo (Asphodel-Norwood), Lock 31 – Buckhorn (Trent Lakes), and Burleigh Falls Inn (North Kawartha).

“We look forward to welcoming new and return visitors to the region and to the Visitor Centre this summer.” states Tracie Bertrand, Director of Tourism & Communications with Peterborough & the Kawarthas Tourism, a division of Peterborough & the Kawarthas Economic Development. “We are encouraging our visitors, as well as our locals to try something new this summer in Peterborough & the Kawarthas and explore some of our region’s hidden gems and treasured favourites. Our trained travel counsellors are here to provide a full-service itinerary planning as well as resources to have a summer of fun.”
