12 New Starter Company Plus Applicants Announced
The Peterborough & the Kawarthas Business Advisory Centre (BAC) has selected 12 successful applicants to take part in the Winter 2021 intake of Starter Company Plus.
This program runs for 8 weeks and aims to teach new entrepreneurs the necessary skills to start and grow their business. Six of the participating businesses will be selected and awarded a grant of $5,000 based on creativity, strength of business plan and viability.
“I am honoured to be working with such an exciting group of entrepreneurs and small businesses from Peterborough & the Kawarthas this winter,” explains Hillary Manion, the Entrepreneurship Officer who oversees the Starter Company Plus program.
“This intake of the program is focusing on creativity and adaptability. These are two key skills businesses need to be resilient and work through the shifts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and other unforeseen circumstances that may arise.”
All Starter Company Plus Winter 2021 intake workshops and consultations will be done online, with a focus on digital platforms, marketing and communication as well as financial acumen and mental well-being.
