Living Local Marketplace in Peterborough is expanding

Just seven months after opening its doors at the corner of Chemong Road and Milroy Drive, Living Local Marketplace is announcing an expansion based on customer feedback. Living Local shares the work of artisans and small businesses from The Kawarthas and across the province.

Red Light Holland To Purchase 100 Acres of Farmland in Cavan Monaghan as it’s Mushroom Farms Division Expands in North America

Red Light Holland has proposed a 65,000 square foot facility for mushroom production to be built on 100 acres of farmland in Township of Cavan Monaghan. The purchase of the farmland will help the company to increase production, packaging, and distribution of their products.

Peterborough & the Kawarthas is in the process of undergoing significant changes to the economic development and tourism delivery model in the region. Community Futures Peterborough is now operating the regional Small Business Enterprise Centre (Business Advisory Centre).

Beginning in 2025, the City of Peterborough and Peterborough County will assume full responsibility for economic development and tourism services, and Peterborough & the Kawarthas Economic Development will cease operations at the end of 2024.
